I have this pretty bad *** warranty through my bank and when my rear end went they replaced my entire rear end from hub to hub for free I was shocked! and when I first got it I had them replace a tierod and a ball joint. Ill have to call them tomorrow and see Normally I would never take my stuff to a shop but this warranty is pretty awesome.
Lowering the tire pressure made a Huge!!!! difference idk why I never thought of that but man its way nicer thank you.
I would like to be boosted by summer next year but ill probably say the same thing next fall.
1500's arent designed to run on heavy *** hard tires... Shocks arent up to it... Most tire tards (i mean sales people) and even majority of tire changers have no cluewhat pressures to run they assume the sidewall is the be all end all, in reality even my camaro the tires are rated for 51psi if i were to run anything over 34psi i cant hold traction, couldnt imagine running those at 50!!! Go by the door of the truck be willing to bet it says 35psi!!! No problem!!! Glad to help!! I have thought about sc but too rich for my blood...unless i could find a really nice used unit roght about tax time...
Im hoping for a tax time sale at trick or somthing. at first I really wanted a tvs2300 for the insta power but its a DD and I like the idea of keeping it out of boost during errands and stuff to hopefully save a little mpg.
Typical rule of thumb, more power on tap, better the mpg... If not wed still be dealing with trucks off the showroom floor with a whopping 155hp out of a v8, at flywheel, remember the 80s 305???
So finally got the life time alignments from firestone.
Problem is the wheel now sits at about 2oclock when the wheels are perfectly straight and it seems to pull a little left at 65mph+. They said they had a hard time getting it within specs (didnt say why) but they said they got it well within factory specs.
Heres the sheet
I dont know anything about factory specs or anything does it seem good? or should I make them do it again?
Its pulling to the left because your caster spread is way too close, needs to be somewhere in the .7-.8* difference with heavier side being on the right, way they have it set now youre gonna pull up the road crown.... If theyre gonna leave the left at 4.3 the right side needs to be about 4.9-5.2* and i have to set my camber at something like -0.5 or something to keep the outside edges of my tires from wearing out.. That i had to experiment with and the day before i put new tires on the front i did the alignment so i could literally see when my tires were flat.... And if wheels off they need to fix it!!
If they fix the cross caster and its still pulling, try swpping the front tires side to side and see i it goes away or starts pulling the other direction, typically speed related pull is a radial pull that no alignment on the world will fix, however the specs you have are causing a slight pull that may be more noticable at speed
