The cognito pitman and idler arm braces along with a steering stabilizer and a new gear box(went with higher suspension package from a silverado ss/suburban on mine, actually less expensive than my factory box) did wonders for my front end....

And the box store automotive corporate stores dont do much in the way of charging extra for alignments on lifted/lowered/altered suspensions, they want their money and the BOAT numbers up (brakes, Oil, Alignments and Tires) and you have to be careful because most of them will void your "lifetime" alignment quick is any parts are replaced!!!I know i work for one!!!

They didnt seem to care about the fact it was lifted or that I worked on stuff myself. But I'm sure if I keep going back every week they will come up with somthing to complain about real quick. I will ask to get the wheel straightened up tho I'm way to OCD for that

With my nv3500 first gear is 3.49. I might leave the 4.10s with 35s just so it cruises better. Before I do anything with bigger tires or anything I'm trashing this NV3500 for a big ole ZF6.

ZF6 Ratio:
5.79 : 1
3.30 : 1
2.10 : 1
1.31 : 1
1.00 : 1
0.72 : 1
5.23 : 1

As far as the steering play it really doesnt bother me that much. I am just very leary of chevy front ends. Maybe I believe to many exagerated stories but I dont want to hit a pot hole and end up on the side of the road with my tires looking at each other.

Is the SSS/surburban steering box built better and a direct swap? If so I'm looking into that just for peace of mind.

The cognito parts on sitting in my shopping cart waiting

Thanks again for all the help guys

The suburban/sss box is a direct swap but its geared differently, have to look it up again but its something like comfort/luxury steering or some crap as an option in the listing for the gear box!!

Alot of the horror stories come from not realizing the sway bar is hitting the right inner tie rod and it wears out the ball cup and breaks it, ask me how i know!!!! Still have to flip my say bar and pt a new inner on it.... Way ot goin at work may get it done today if we have the links i need

I'm going to have to look into that. I would love a more "luxary" feel.
