Default everyone with belltech drop / lift struts please step in

for the first time i watched my truck go down the road riding behind my brother. i knew it bounced some but once i saw it holy **** i needed new struts... so i ordered the belltech drop / lift struts. my setup is 2" drop spindles, 2" drop springs. so i figured i could set the struts at 0 and be good... (i was trying to decide to use stock springs and lower on struts or keep struts at 0 and keep lowering springs).. anyway i put the thing on the ground and its WAY lower then before! it sat on the fender liners. so i pull it all back apart and set the struts at +1" drop it on the ground and use my hand as a gauge and felt how it felt with stock struts. go around the block and now im sitting like a 1/4" from the fender liners. so what do i have to do put these things at 2 inch lift to put it where it was!?! also are you guys on 4" drop in front running the fender liners? i may just pull them out but i need to fix the camber problem from being lower and already out of adjustment

i never rubbed the liners before.. maybe these springs are shot and it has been just sitting on bump stops all this time??

Damn all these views and no posts?? I had no choice but to use my truck today and I ended up melting holes through both liners. I may just throw the stock springs in and see where it lands me

What size tires are you running?? You shouldn't have a problem rubbing on the liners til 5" of drop.

I thought I always read that the struts didn't have enough thread to use anything more than a 1" drop spring.

I would run stock springs if I were you, and set the struts at 2" drop. That's what I have had for well over 50,000+ miles and no issues.

Edit* By the way, I run 305/40/22 tires in the summer, and 265/65?/18 in the winter. I lost my passenger side inner fender years ago driving in deep snow, some snow became packed in between my tire and fender liner, I reversed over the lip in my driveway, and the force ripped my liner out. I removed the driver side liner when I installed my turbo. It gets a little dirty under hood, no other issues though.

its prob at 5" of drop now. im going to put the stock springs back in and i guess try it first with struts set at 2" drop. i didnt have any problem putting the drop springs on them. i didnt have to compress the spring i could start the nut but by the time the nut was tightened the spring was under some tension. im running a 265/50/20 30.5" dia

im getting good at switching these things out btw. took about 40 minutes doing it in the driveway last time. maybe 30 this time haha
