i dont have a dust lip but i do have a oil seal that barely sticks past unless that is what you mean. either way i most likely have to install everything and then machine down that yoke after if i need too.

oh and i ordered the -6 fittings that everyone else is using but i noticed the rear return fitting has about an inch or so of tubing that comes off of it. the -6 fittings i got are both the same and match the front fitting. is this going to be an issue?

Yes, you need a matching long rear fitting like these: (if not you will burn up the trans)

I'm also gathering parts for an 80e swap in my ecsb, got those fittings off e-bay

If your tranny is a 99 up it needs that nipple on it. If it is pre 99 it doesn't use that nipple. That nipple goes into the center support and lubricates the rear of the tranny. If you dont use it, chances are you will tear up some parts due to lack of lubrication. Ask me how I know. Lol. The transmission year can be distinguished by the location of the fittings on the case. Close together is earlier, farther apart is later.

Page 4 shows pretty good pics of the 80e dust seal. This whole thread was because I didnt have that fitting with the nipple on it.

Mine doesn't have one of the dust boots, in fact I've never seen one of those before. The T56 has something similar though.

You dont need to have it. It is just an extra cover to keep out dust.
