What could be used to mount the coilover into the lower control arm of my 01' 2wd 1500? Since it doesnt have the same mount as the HD.

I doubt those will hold up to getting airborne! Would definitely need to look into some limit straps and heavy duty bumpstops.

Props for following through!! I've been pondering trying something like this for a long while, both to my lifted truck and the lowered one...
Been eyeballing the Brenthel Chase kit.... but my wallet was never fat enough. Yours looks so much more realistic budget wise and makes me shake my head nobody pulled it off sooner, haha!
Nice work, keep us updated on it all!

You could switch too a HD LCA. I am sure that QA1 or somebody makes a shock in that style mount. I was thinking about that same thing yesterday under my in-laws suburban..

There is a little over 4 inches of travel. My HD hasn't lasted 226K, because I get AIRBORNE...

No thanks necessary from everybody. My HD has been THE MOST reliable truck for all these years and I wanted it too ride like the NEW f150's. I wasn't buying one, so I just said SCREW IT. Did the research and dove in head first...

yep, that's exactly what I was talking about above.

...and I've often wondered what would be needed to beef up the mounts on our DJM arms to better handle supporting weight..?

Wouldnt take much. Maybe just box them around and should be good to go.

Just got back from a 800 mile road trip thru Louisiana. NO failures. Rode like a dream. Now there is no need to do the Baja 1000 with the truck. Nothing can top the SHITTY roads in Louisiana...

funny you mention that. I cough some serious air, followed by "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT" from the wife in the back seat. We were headed west on I-10 right past Lafayette when I swear all 4s left the pavement. I was going maybe 70-75

Glad to hear that it's holding up. I really might consider this if I end up keeping what I have. Got any suggestions about getting a little more lift out of the front end to clear 33's ?
