Ditched the Torsion Bars for Coilovers on the HD

yeah , the bump stop will go anyways. Its not like I can use it.... LOL I have had this truck 4 feet off the ground, all it broke was a sway bar bushing. anywho.. My shock is super close to the upper arm. I think when the drop spindle from this crappy lift kit I have was put on it changed the angle. I'll take a better look when I get this motor running...
If you don't think they do anything, go out and buy the Z71 stops from the 08.5+ 2500HD's. I used to think more travel was the only answer to a good ride, but it's all about suspension control with these big beasts, unless you're planning on doing some chasing or racing with it.
P.S: I just assumed your truck was a 2500+ truck, If it isn't, disregard the Z71 bumpstop aspect of my post

I messed around with the shock settings tonight and the difference in ride available with the settings is pretty huge. Granted this was done very scientifically by bouncing on the bumper.

Looks like it's a bolt in deal. I like the way he didn't just rely on the factory shock bracket. Bolting to the frame also, spreads the load out. Nice pieces! I actually bought a lower control arm from a salvage yard to mock up the brackets, but have been out of town, and haven't had a chance to get to it.
