If your just installing the Truetrac and using the same ring & pinion you dont really need the install kit. You can remove the ring gear and throw it onto the truetrac then go about checking your backlash. Just remember to measure your original starting backlash before starting the removal. If thats within factory specs then try and get the new setup back to that backlash measurement.

FWIW....I just did the same thing and the carrier bearings that Summit sent me were the wrong size (just a little too small). Check yours before you close everything up and make sure they are correct. I ended up buying mine locally at Napa.

I totally forgot about that, Thunder is right, a fair share of the kits come with the smaller diameter bearings, for the pre-99 rear-ends. 99+ use a large diameter bearing that you'll have to pick up seperately, the easiest and cheapest way to do this is just get new bearings and a shim kit for backlash adjustment and you'll be set.

That kit will not work for your application. What you need is the Ratech kit #156k, but if you just need a new gasket & shims use their kit #454k
