I have two issues with my truck. One could possibly be related to the other, and Im stumped.
I have a 2000 silverado z71 with a LQ4 small cam (223/226) most bolt ons a Fuddle 3200 converter FLT level 5 tranny and 3.73's.
One issue is that my converter seems to flash to about 5200 not 3200, it has gotten a little tighter, but still seems high. To get the flash stall (Im thinking this is how, just double checking) you let the truck idle and hammer the gas and see where it starts to pull correct? Well this ends up in a small smoke show most times, so whats another way to check flash stall?
Also last week I borrowed a buddies N2O. Im spraying a 125 shot, but it feels like about 20, and only netted me .20 in the 1/4. While Im going down the interstate if I spray it my tach only picks yp about 200 RPM, and it just doesnt pull hard at all. Is there anyway (besides locking the converter in 2nd) to see if the converter is soaking up the hit, or if something else is wrong?
Thanks for the help guys.

on spray my fuddle converter will hit ~3800 rpms... thats spraying off the line with good traction. if yours is going up to 5200 then something is not right. did you get the truck converter or the car converter.

HP truck converter. Im gonna take a ride in yours tonight if you dont mind, then haul you around in mine so you can see what its doing. I dont know how I can afford for the truck to be down for who knows how long to get it re-stalled.

I rode in his truck last night and it definetly makes a good smoke show....4 wheels drive spun the front tires all through first and a mean second as well as a little distance into second...Matt i'm almost thinking its falshin a little lower than 5200 but when it grabs your spinning so hard it continues to fly up to 5200...but i only rode in it for about 10 mins so its hard to say really.
Then again you did brake stall it to 4 grand so yea its prob getting to 5k are higher...
