Default C-notching???

Might end up using a C-notch on my truck. Really didnt want to do it but the fellas at Fullsize.com had some really good inputs. Understood that anyting under 4" inches requires a C-notch. Planned on 4/5 drop but might as well go 4/6 if im going to C-notch..

Is there anyting bad about doing a C-notch besides cutting frame??
And how reliable is it???? Any inputs are greatly appreciated!!!!

Thats pretty good there. Looks like a 4/6 drop is pretty safe if you do it right.
I always liked the DJM kit and might end up going with that. The Mcgaughy's I heard is a good kit but just to get 4" in lower on the front they use coils and spindles compared to the LCA's from the DJM. And im going to be runnin my 16" stockers till I get money for rims and Mcgaughy's is for 17" only spindles. But I'll be getting the 17" stockers. I saw a tire shop on Spencer that has them Im going to stop by and see how much they want for them.
But anywho? Thanks for the info Gene!!!

I guess the C-notch's are pretty safe?

Hey, i have had a DJM 4/6 on my truck for like two years. Never had any problems with it, and the c notch held up great. I have the LCAs and the flip kit for sale. All that needs to be bought is a new C Notch, and a set of endlinks. I went with a hotchkis TVS.

Hotchkis is only a 2/4 kit, and it comes with front coils, new rear leafs, and front and rear sways. The kit cost around 900-1000 bucks. I like it, but the only reason i changed honestly is cause I was bored with the truck. Thats what i do when im bored. Lol, anyway, the endlinks are what connects the sway bar in the front to the lower control arms. I have them, but the bushings onthem are kinda deteriorated. I would recomend using new ones rather than risk using these ones. You can get new ones for like 15 bucks at any parts store pretty much.
