"Bullet-Proofing" a 4L60E
I'm getting a 2006 RCSB Silverado that I'm buying from my parents in a month or two, and am wanting to beef up the tranny so that I won't have to worry about blowing it up with low miles still on the truck. I know for sure that I will go with a 2800-3200 stall torque converter (Daily driver, but will be doing a cam and forced induction eventually) but will leave the 3.23 geared G80 in. I am looking for mods to do inside of the tranny itself to build it up once the warranty is done (next August) to support ~500rwhp. The truck will stay a street truck and will not see really high boost (still haven't decided on S/C or turbo) just something to make it a quick DD.
Things I have considered were the converter, ~28000 BTU transmission cooler, deep pan, and Transgo HD-2 Shift Kit... Not too sure on these, but any help is appreciated.

your G80 rear end will explode one day if your trans does not. I did the full TransGo, pistons, and servos with the spacer. If you're serious about 500HP those are the two things that will go first. The trans for sloppy shifting, and the G80, for the stomp and goes, and burnouts.
