Bolts that came with the pinion angle shims?
#1
I bought these pinion angle shims for my truck: DJM Suspension ACC-6PSK - DJM Suspension Pinion Angle Shims - Overview - SummitRacing.com
My current pinion angle is 3* with 2* shims. So replacing the 2* shims with these 6* shims should make the pinion angle -1*.
They came with the pictured bolts. I think they go through the leaf spring and hold together the leaves in the middle. But why did they send me them? Will the stock ones not work? The head of the bolt is not thick enough to protrude through the 6* shims anyways.
I was going to install them tomorrow. Thanks!

Add the little spacer shim at the head of that bolt, and then the head will be able to reach all the way through the shim and into the axle perch. I see the spacer shims in the pic, just above the nuts.

Ah yes! For some reason I thought the spacer went on top of the spring under the nut. Sweet, hopefully these do the trick.

Got them in today, and phew, glad I did! With the 2* shims that were in there, the head of the bolt wasn't sticking through far enough. They were resting on top of the spring perch about 1/8" from being in the hole. The longer pins worked out, but they could still be 1/4" longer or more. It was still tricky getting them seated in the holes with confidence.
Seems a bit smoother on the highway now. Can't say if I gained any traction though.
