If it was me since you plan to pull VB I would go transgo JR. kit new sep plate,vette servo 4th servo if you need it ,send back sonix,it will shift awesome and correct a lot and take care of lock up,just saying

they are loved by some,ive used some parts and pieces,it didnt ness,make it better,you dont want to mix and match parts transgo/sonx

The JR kit for $35 makes it work slick, it deals with the servo set up,makes converter on/off 2-3 valve and a lot of shift timing

you can go transgo VB plate or aftermarket with built in gaskets,this stuffs budget and makes the trans last.
