Anyone ever cut the frame to make their RCLB a RCSB?
#1
Im thinking about selling my 02 that I just got and getting a RCLB 4x4 duramax so I can chop the frame and make it a RCSB. Anyone ever had this done to any other truck? How much did it cost you? I know it's been done before plenty of times for older c10s and such. Mainly looking for an idea on how much it would cost.

there is a guy in town that just did this to a 99 cummins. its pretty sweet. he made some extra brackets, made dam sure it was straight and square and welded it all up, shortened his driveshaft and all his lines and put the shortbed on it.

Not sure what the guys name is but he gets picked on a lot...no offense to the guy, just saying what I see! He shortened his long bed. not sure it was the right way from what I read but search customhd or custom2500 and search his threads and its on there or msg him...good luck!

I guess I need to find someone around dfw that's done it before and get a price.

Yeah I've seen that truck, very badass.
It seems the easiest way to do this is find a ecsb or ccsb frame and cut the frame behind the cab, do the same to the RCLB and weld the short bed to the RCLB frame. Definetly the cheapest though.
