He didnt give me a specific rating, he just said he has never had a 5" break and he has customers running 2k plus ft lb diesels doing pulling competions and some high hp setups running them with no issues. He said the 4"is rated at 800 and the 5" is allot stronger.

may I ask about prices? I have shopped around for one, and need it to hold 7,000 rpm in 3rd, and PST in Florida said I need a 4" alum to hold the speed. a 5" will hold more, but They want like $650 for a 4",1350's and a rear end yoke. I had talked to DS specialist a while back and wanted to know what yall paid before I called them.

I used these guys for my lt1 firebird....

It was rated around 500 or so horse.... They had them in stock from summit and the price was a great deal with yoke and new u-joints.

Does GM say if it's an Ext. Cab, it's getting alum., & on RC, they get steel. Cause my '04 has a rusty steel d/s.
