Default Adjusting Caltracs

just wonderin how you guys on here adjust your Caltracs they say to snug them on the leaf spring and then do a 1/4 turn then snug the bolts

Thats it...when I adjusted mine like that I could leave with no tire spin!!

I have them set this way for the street works well and rides nice, I do play with the adj now and then and with street tires I found setting the bar to the top hole and give it a good few turns it hooks good, but rides like crap

I noticed when I took out my overloads the caltracs did not allow any drop do I need to re adjust?

Make sure you adjust them with you or some one who weighs similar to what you do in the driver's seat. It will launch straighter that way assuming it hooks.

Same thing here with overloads off, rear does not drop much. I back off 1 whole turn on my caltracs. I do have a 4 degree shim, so my pinion angle still is negative. Mine hooks on any track surface with mine adjusted this way.

so in other words, put Mr. Travelocity in the drivers seat, should be close enough
