Pretty much finished the new upper brackets. I have one more set on hand and it will be a couple weeks before I can have more material cut. I have some of the older styles on hand that use the procomp adapter, and actually thats what I still use. The newer style would be for lifted or slammed setups only.

By lifted I mean a lift kit the uses spindles or drops the LCAs, you dont need the new ones with only a 1-2" lift. The older ones are a little more user friendly, just dont offer the clearance needed for lift-kit trucks.

Atomic,
Congrats on the success of your innovation! I've read every inch of this thread and peripheral and splinter threads as well. The design, quality and workmanship of your parts speak for themselves.....stellar.
I've got a 2000 Silvy 1500 ECSB 4x4 with a new Rancho 4" lift on it. Not necessarily interested in lifting any more, but I'm mechanically intrigued at the thought of replacing the antiquated torsion bar suspension system with the coil over conversion simply to improve ride and handling quality.
Are you aware of a "menu" of specific parts that someone here on the site has posted after having performed this mod to a 4" lifted truck like mine?
Sure would save me a lot of time building a parts list.
Thanks! V1

In the first post of this thread there are 2 PDF files, the first one contains a list of all parts and part numbers you need to do the swap. The only thing that changes is the spring and shock combo. That info is discussed in the document when I talk about how to measure for the shock you need. If you can get that measurement I can help you figure out what springs and shock youll need.

This is awesome! I have a Yukon XL with 175k the stock Torsion bars and mounts are shot and sagging. I hate the ride they give and there are no aftermarket choices for them.
I have a few questions i didn't see answered in the PDF. I tow a very large (~8k lbs) RV trailer. Should I select a heavier spring? I run torsion bars on the sway hitch setup that load down the front of the truck more, they're 1200lb bars. Also, due to the need to tow the trailer I want to retain stock ride height, is there a generally accepted "Stock ride height" shock that everyone uses?
