I can't be that hard that was for a 6l90 the 80's shorter. Physically the parts fit and have off the shelve items with no mods need. The only thing I could see would be the harness and ECM mods.
LOL, the physical install was the easiest part. If you can find a truck with the exact options and equipment it would make the swap much easier. Spend the time finding a VIN that has the same equipment as your truck and you'll spend less time chasing gremlins.

Besides the harness and ECM, you'll need

A new TQ converter (there won't be a better time to do it)
Tranny Cooler Lines
Minor Cross Member Mods
And make sure the Wiring Harness connects to the same fuel pump assembly/tank as you have in your truck now.
