ive read that the yokes are the same in the 07-up silverados. Same guy stated his oem shaft out of his 07 silverado fit perfect without mods or cutting it. Im getting ready to start the swap in my 09 and had just bought a shaft from XMS in edingburg and was worried about having to send it back and be cut to specs and balanced for high speeds. Whats your going into??

In the extended cabs it will work because the slip yoke takes up the extra length of the trans... The reg cabs need the shaft shortened. This is true for 99-07 trucks anyway.

someone needs to double check this info cause 00z71 is running a stock DS with long 80e yoke and no issues on a 99 regular cab. They make a short yoke also if it's too long for some weird reason.
