Default 4L60E from 2008 to a 2000 ????

Will my stock 4L60E fit on a 2000 5.3 SCSB ? I'm trying to get founds for my new tranny and since my stock one is still good only 14K miles and a buddy of mine needs one so I'm want to find out if it will fit. Thanks

its the same connector, then only different is the shift kits. the older style has metal parts and blah blah, the newer one has plastic plungers and shi in it. also you have to use Dexron VI in the new transmission, you arent suppose to use Dexron 3 or whatever. ask me how i know.

I thought that the 07+ transmissions had an extra speed sensor or something? Not sure...

You are correct about the turbine speed sensor Billy. Even some 06 units have this. It will work and fit in there without an issue. The only problem is the main case connector. I personally do not know if it will plug in due to the fact that there has been an extra pin added. You will have to take a look at your vehicles harness connector to see if where this pin was added if the hole is blocked or open even tho there is not a pin there. If its open you are good to go. If not you will need to modify the connector or swap your original harness and go from there. Hope this helps. Vince
