Well, heard from the shop the planetary took a crap again. He is putting the 5 gear planetary in.

Yup, he talked real quick with me and said he will call tomorrow morning and talk more then. Interesting to see if they truly went or something else cause it.

I would ask if that is a Delco planet? If its the cheap knock off one tell him you'll pay for the better one! I have seen the aftermarket ones grenade in less than six months or be severely worn in that amount of time. Vince

I wonder where it failed at? Front planeatary? rear planetary? see if you can get it and take a pic for us.....

Still curious as to what could of caused this?? These were GM 5 pinions too

Okay I miss understood my trans guy, the planetary did not go he put a 5 pinion gear while he was in there. Come to find out it was a factory defect. No signs of heat stress or stress of that matter. I quick took some pics with my phone cause the part had to go back to the manufacturer.





I'm just happy to have my truck back on my weekend off.
