I'm getting 3" drop coils and I was wondering how it would affect the ride on my truck? How bad would my allignment be? Will it make my wheels pull in?

 

A freind of mine had 3" coils on his '99. They rode like ***. He switched to 4" LCA's.

 

You have seen my truck. That's what I have. I have no complaints about the ride. You just have to take the stops out. They will horibly through the camber out. It will definantly need a realignment. You might need to get some longer tie rod ends. My right side is maxed out. It really needs to go a litlle farther. I also use stock size shocks. They wear out quicker, but keep the ride right. I just put the third set on, but the truck has almost 100k on it.

Coils aren't hard to install on these newer style trucks.

 

I'm installing a whole drop kit with springs so I really dont want to do it

 

how much do you want to spend? me and a friend did mine and it took about 4 hours.

 

Ride quality depends on the spring rate. Two springs that give you the same drop can have two totally different rides.

 

With 3" coils there just is not much travel left. I would advise against it but it sounds like you have already made up your mind. Good luck.
