i agree this is posiable but very rare. my truck with stock tires took nearly everything on the street. at a sticky track i see the 4wd as a negative but on the steet it is a great way to go.

I agree that on the street the 4x4 is the way to go. Even with 28x11.5 MT ET streets I spin when trying to launch on the street. 2wd is lighter and probably better for the track, but we have all seen how well the 4wd does.

Dragtires are a hit or miss on the street. A good DR is better off on the street compared to something as in a ET street or a QTP

Any trouble with the stock front transfer case handling all kinds of extra power? I'm looking at turbocharging my Sierra in the future and I know I'd get great take off with it in 4/HI as it's a light truck. I just don't want to blow the front end out and be without 4WD in the winter.

Atomic runs 1000hp+ on his 4wd. I believe his front diff and transfercase are stock.

Most 1500 front diff failures I've seen were only in offroad applications with very large wheels and tires. Knock on wood; both of my trucks have been holding up great.
