Default Motive Gear Feedback?

Hey guys, I was wondering if any one has bought/installed a set of these gears within the last few years. I recently bought a set of 4.56 ratio with their master install kit for my Duramax and scheduled to get them installed this weekend in the rear only for now. My installer is one of the best in the area with 30+ years experience in transmission/gear installs. Web searches show mixed reviews on quality/sound level, but most are dated 2007-2010.

Reason for install is truck runs/pulls fine, I just don't like the shift points of the 37" tires and 5speed Allison.

Thanks guys.

They are the only gear I sell besides richmond and I sell a lot of them. And of course Motive owns richmond now. I never get returns for motive gears...ever. I do on the richmonds but the motive gears seem to be very consistent and strong.

That's some first hand feedback I wanted to hear. I was a little nervous I made a mistake but Summit had them on sale so I pulled the trigger early before much research.

Pretty damn excited to see how the truck runs on 4.56s, should pull stumps lol. Truck is the new daily and see's 90% street light to street light driving below 55. Even on the highway I put her on about 65-68 and set the cruise.

Nothing wrong with Motive. If you were beating the **** out of it off-roading, there are probably better choices.

I have had no issues now with my Motive 4.30's and I've had them for 4-5 years now.

Obviously break-in is critical. If they are broken in properly, you won't have an issue.

I have motive 4.11s. Love them. Break in is critical. As stated above.
