awesome, use the warranty if you can $55 for a center console, damn good score there

Shipping sucked though oversized box coming from MA. Also is light grey. So i have to either color match it to my current dash. Or go 2 tone dark grey upper, light grey lower.

EDIT: Also ordered a Proform shift light, better safe then sorry, what can i say, my reflex's are slow and i like shiney things

But on another note. I am also going to be swapping out the 468 BBC out of my 85 silverado and putting in a vortec 5.7 back in from another truck my dad has then selling it. So that will help out with the swap, cash wise. The reason this is taking so long is i dont buy parts with credit. I only pay cash, then i drink afterwords when i look at my account balances.

that's the best way to obtain parts. Only go into debt if you have to, cash is the best way. It's coming along, the part gathering stage is always what kills me because you have to look at un-installed parts for a while. It's all worth it when you put everything in at once though

Well the trucks drivable again. Got tired of seeing it sit there neglected. So at 6:15 i started swapping in the new slave (warrantied it since the other one was 2 months old) and at 9 she moved under her own power. Pedal feel again is real weak. But i think just driving it will make it better like before.

T-56 swap is still under way in some way shape or form. I only have the drivers seat in it right now. When the console gets here i am going to make me a shift boot template. ETOF Nov. 2008

nice. At least you can enjoy it until the 6 gear goes in.
Was the slave cylinder that went out a GM part, or something aftermarket?

GM it siezed up again. Just put itself in a bind. I think personally it cant handle anything over 5000 rpm. Both times it was when i was f-ing around going from first to second. The seal the first time rolled and jammed the cylinder up. The secound time i think its the same thing. When i pulled the trans back from the motor, big pop sound and now when you squeeze all the presure releases into the dust shield.

But i cant wait for the T-56 swap to be done. But alot of money money money.

hey dustin what is the part number on the slave for your truck. I got worried after reading your post and bought a slave to do when I did my clutch, I had to get it from GM $230 we didn't have the right tool to disconnect the line so we didn't use it, fortunately the master and slave cylinder are working fine with the CF DF and i'm doing some high rpm shifting. Just thinking you might be able to swap the master and slave from a 2500hd to work in your truck, although you are doing the t56

I think this is the part # for my slave cylinder

Same part number as the one i have. Mine worked good for 2 months then out of the blue one 5500 shift into 2nd, nothing so just watch for signs if poor engagement and release. The list on it is about $230 i have hook-ups so i didnt pay that, but you didn't get ripped at all. Also parts plus sells a generic GM clutch disconnect tool, or 2 butter knifes will work fine.

Edit: Also i haven't shifted higher then 4500 or so...its got me all worried haha. Another reason i got a shift light
