yeah I hear you there. It takes a lot of time. Im wanting to do a V8 swap on my '06 with the 6'er in it now. I have a good idea of all required parts, but it's taking a long time to save up. If I got free housing and food, i'd be good to go in a few months

I will for sure!

Also so here is what i am planning. (in no official order)

T56, LS2 flywheel with LS7 clutch, T56 slave (not sure which one), Driveshaft, TruTrac, and 4.10's.

Extra's will be, possible cam either going to go big with a TR220 or small with the hotcam, then EFI Live V2

We will see

not a bad plan at all. From what i've heard you COULD run 4.56's or something near there just fine with the T56. Why are you set on 4.10's?

does the t56 line up where the shifter is now or do you have to relocate it. also are you going to throw in the console with the swap, just trying to gather some info for a future install.

It is going to be relocated to where the cup holders are, yes i am going to put a console in, its what looks best. Also there is a huge thread about it, just do a search for A4 to M6.

Im not set on the gears yet, that is going to be the next thing i buy. Today i am ordering the pretty much everything but the transmission, and gears. I think ill decide on the gears here in the next couple weeks, and today i am making some phone calls to some transmission places for pricing, and delivery options .

I'd consider 4.56's at a minimum if not higher numerically. The 5 speed you are used to has a 3:82:1 first gear and the T56 is a 2.66:1. Unless you get a GTO trans that has a 2.92:1 first.
