So i have 150k on my truck the trans went out... no 3-4 fluid burnt to ****..
I plan on rebuilding myself. (im a Chrysler tech but never had a GM trans apart....)
working on removing it now..
First question. What trans is in it? im guessing a 4l60 but the code in glove box is m32. havent got it down yet.. having trouble with exhaust manifold nuts.. nuts just spinning on studs..
tools at work..
Second question. best place to buy a rebuild kit? and what to buy? no real mods. maybe Long tubes (damn studs) and i would like a cam someday but tuning is a issue being awd and my wife is also a issue
lol.

Its a 4l65, if you have a transtar locally, talk to them about a rebuild kit if you just want to stay basically stock.... As far as mods vette servo and sonnax performance pack or at least parts of it, nice firm shifts without breaking anything... Including your neck lol...

I worked at a chrysler dealer.... Warranty doesnt pay for crap!! And if you dont already have your foot in the door and have all this training they dont pay you for, you cant even do warranty work... I will stick with gm dealers and aftermarket.... Kinda helps ive been gm certified for a long time!!

Lost 3/4 clutch 99%... Easy to fix. I'd add a servo and do some valve body work while you're there at a minimum.
Don't get caught up in all the flashy, fancy 3/4 clutch offerings out there (Z-pack, etc). The ones that use "more" clutches, use thinner clutch plates and steels that are prone to warping. I've had the best luck with BW High Energy clutches.
