Default 2 door tahoe 4x4

Hey Guys,
any body know of a front sway bar that was made for the 2 door. tahoe 4x4. I ordered a belltech one from stylin concepts that listed a 4x4. Its a 1998. I have the 3"front3.5"rear drop belltech drop on their now. So I dropped my OEM and install the belltech and its about 2 inches longer. The end link bushings just arent going to last at that angle. So, I dont want to fab any additonal bracket. I call belltech. they said yep never made one for the 2 door. Sylin said my bad send it back. If I only measured the whole thing instead of eyeballing it. But I took around the block, and it definetly made an improved difference. So my question any manufactures out there make a direct bolt on sway bar.

Maybe the the part was mislabeled. I don't see why the front sway bar from any half ton 4x4 96-99 truck would differ. I have Hotchkis front and rear sway bar kit part# 2208 (It doesn't state whether or not its for a 2dr or 4dr tahoe). I was initially sent the wrong sway bars but the box was marked correct. I sent them back and got a new set. The install was very straight forward, just took a little caressing to get the front bar in but it worked out perfect. I also had to make a couple of modifications to the rear mountings because I have a 9.5" 14 bolt rear axle. With the same drop as you, I've had no problems with my sway bars.

I just got off the phone with Belltech engineers and they now agree as you said whippled2dr. That there is no difference in the 2 door or 4 door. 4 wheel drive. I think I will just drill another hole in the lower controll arm and see if I can line the end link's a little straighter and tighten it up.

whippled2dr. Do the end link rods line up or are they at an angle?

With a drop, I believe you will need shorter end links. Did you talk to Belltech about that?

I'll try to get a pic today or tomorrow. I didn't change the front end links in the front with the drop but I did put shorter ones in the back.

Belltech gave me several answers before I had a shop call in and they told him they didnt make one for the 2 door. Which still puzzles me. I stopped by a chevy dealership, with a tape measure and granted it was snowing and raining here in the pacific north west. By my quick mesurement the mounting positions are the same length as the 4 door. I definetly want to install one, to handle all the dips in roads. So I sent a message to hotckins with part number listed by whippled2dr. or its drilling a hole in the stamped lower controll arm to help line up the endlink. Not before I send the bar back to sytlin and they can deal with belltech.

thanks for the pics. Ya that is much better line up than what I have with the belltech one. The endlinks are angled back. I will call hotckins tommorow. Thanks again for the visual
