Default 20's and 305s

im looking at getting some centerline stingrays 20.0 x 8.5 hi-polish forged wheel 5.4" backspacing.

ill be installing a hotchkis 2/4 TVS kit on the truck. can i fit 305/45/20 all around? what about 305s in back and 295 in front or 285?

what will be the ride difference with smaller tires in front?

depending on tire manufactor will determine tire size as well. ive seen a 305/40 on a 8.5" rim with a 3/4 drop. it wouldnt fit on the front with this setup

305/45 is about 30.8" tall so you should be fine although that's a wide *** tire.

The height isn't the problem. It's the width of the tire. Off the top of my head those tires are like 11.75" wide. Unless you're running a ton of offset(which those centerlines don't have), I can almost assure you will rub.

I have 305/40/20 on mine with stock 8.5 ss wheels. The 305/45/20 would most likely rub on the outer lip of the front fender if you hit a large bump at speed. Mine barely did this one time. I think the back would be fine.

Again, keep in mind your rims have about 30mm of offset compared to his which have around 10mm of offset. This makes a HUGE difference in how it will rub.

Just my opinion, but that seems a bit dangerous as the minimum approved width for a 305/40 would be a 10" rim

You're gonna have rubbing issues. My advice would be if you are going to use those wheels and do a 2/4 TVS - go with a 265/50 all around
