Default 10 Bolt frustration?

Well...the whine from the rear end is getting pretty bad. It sounds easily as bad as in the spring when we found the pinion was cracked the entire length of the gears Its driving fine except for the sound, but Im obviously not ripping into it. I'll have to tear it apart and see whats up, but as this is already my 3rd set of gears, is the 10 bolt just not buildable to handle the beating? Im really not all that keen to spend $1500-2k for a whole rear end, but Im getting damn close at this point already! Opinions? Recommendations?

as stated above, your installer is fubaring up your gears. GEARS SHOULD NOT WHINE (if set-up correctly). altho i have heard of rare occasions when richmonds whine, even when everything is spot on.

ohh and by the way, mine whine

I was hoping it wud just be a fluid change and additive to cure it, but I've been down this road before and dont wanna chance it. First replacement lasted 2yrs, second 3months - the second wasnt done by a specialist so I really was crossing my fingers! After a bit of research it seems a whine can be caused by improper breakin resulting is abnormal wear, which will eventually tear off teeth!!! I'm also told that the 07+ 14 bolt w/ 4.10's is a direct replacement...but that means ~$1500 + front gears to match + misc = $2500-3k...what a clusterfuck! Prob do replacement gears again for now
