Been searching the net religiously all week trying to gather info before biting the bullet and ordering parts but have a few questions I'm hoping someone here can help with!!

-02 Z71 with 4.8L & 4L60E currently but the current transmission's days are numbered so looking into doing a manual swap. To my understanding, I'll just use a 4.8 flywheel and from what I gathered (please correct me if I'm wrong) I should be able to run any of the NV3500 trans & clutch as long as pulled from a 4x4 due to shaft spline count differences between 2wd & 4wd?? does that mean one from a 4x4 4.3L S10/blazer would work??

-Also, I'm already planning on having to get a tune when getting rid of the auto but I want to be be sure that my speedometer/cruise control will still work when swapping to manual. -And the other big concern is whether or not my transfer case will work with any of the NV3500 trans. My truck has the push button 4x4 on dash and NOT the manual/floor shift transfer case. I've searched and searched but haven't been able to confirm this one way or the other.

I've done a few auto to manual conversions in the past but this is the 1st one with GenIII LSx platform and 1st 4WD one I've attempted. Any and all info/suggestions would be greatly greatly appreciated!!! Thanks
