the mickey thompson i am talking about is a radial. 3756R that is there part number for the tires from mickey.

Ok, for some reason I thought you were takling about the bias ply (et street).

But yeah, I agree, the Et street radials have tremendous traction on the street. And surprisingly, mine haven't worn all that much at all for the amount I've used them. So far, I like them much better than the m&h radials.

We got caught in a rain shower in Vics little blue truck on I45 with M/T et pros. Going about 45mph and just trying to get down the road, the truck hydroplaned and spun out in the middle of 5 lanes of busy traffic!!! I saw my life flash before my eyes!!! Ended up hitting a car that tried to go around us with his rear bumper and her passenger side door. Was pretty scary!! lol

I dumped my caltracs. Much better ride, but drag radials cause a lot of wheel hop.

So at the track, what am I better off with, DRs and wheel hop or street tires and spin?

Loosen caltracs for street and tighten for track. Wheel hop breaks parts.
