Default New less expensive fitting for Hi-Ram and 145amp alternator!

I found this fitting in the new Earls catalog because like most of us I don't want to pay $55 for a stupid adapter fitting for my DS fuel rail and alternator clearance issue. The part number is: AT849008ERL and it was $35.xx from summit! The plus side of it is its a -8 hose end too. This may have been known already but if it's not its a lot more readily available than the XRP lo pro adapter.

Thanks! I'll be needing one of these. Dumb question though, how do you tell which alternator you have? If I have the bigger one, can I just replace it with the 145 without any issues? I want to install my Holley regulator onto the passenger side fuel rail.

Can you get a measurement of how much it comes out of the rail? I may need one also.

That looks like the one I used. I had to trim the back plastic of the big alternator but it fit with a hairs clearance!

That fitting eliminates the ORB to hose end fitting on the end of the rail which causes the interference. It will save quite a bit of length and give good clearance.

Speedflow makes some good fittings. Only problem is that they ship from Austrailia.

Hmm. Maybe i'll have to try it. I like how its a smooth bend. Not sure if that will work with the big alternator though.
