My walbro 400s cost $120 each from ebay. Tapping the tank is a bad idea, I dont care how safe you think it is. Dont cheap out and try to do this, you will regret it later when you have to redo it later when it fails. If you dont have the time or money to do it correctly, then dont do it!

I've done a lot of research on it. A lot of the corvette guys tap the rear of the tank. Surperado taped the rear of the tank with two -10 fittings. The tank is actually pretty thick. And I have a 05 jetta that I can drive if needed. The winter will be mostly over when I get there.

You don't want big ice-***** of slush snow and ice hanging off your Custm fuel system. Winter driving is a bitch.
Not to mention the expansion/contraction of that plastic tank with temperature swings.

Really? I find that hard to believe. I am making well into the 600 range, have never had a issue with fuel for 5 + years of this pump. Guys making 500 on 255's with no problem.. Russ is making as much if not more, as well as Josh, they have not a single issue

The 044 will flow more by itself than the setup you have now with it pulling through the 255. If you dont believe me, read my sticky in this section and use my spreadsheet and look at the pump curves. Keep in mind in a series setup, flow is limited by the least flowing pump.

YUP..
Also with Russ and Josh I am pretty sure they were running on the STOCK wiring, not the big gauge kit which just by it self will allow the pump to work more efficient.
