Default 05 f150 Fuel Filter

Co-worker of mine has an 05 F150 CC and was asking about changing the Fuel filter. The stealership said it would cost $60 bucks for them to do it because it takes "a special tool"
I guess i'll need to get under his truck and look but last special tool i used on a fuel filter was an open end wrench.

Any truth to this?

Stupid dealership... That is the most retarded thing I've ever heard, even if it does take a special tool. Isn't it part of their job to have those tools? Doesn't really make sense that they can charge extra because of what tools they have to use, labor is labor. No wonder people don't trust stealerships. Sorry I just felt like going on a little rant there.

On a side note those fittings look very similar to the ones that connect my fuel lines to the fuel rail..

any auto store carries the "special Tool" and you might have to get two of them because depending on what filter is installed you might have the 3 line one that has 2 different line sizes. Easy as heck and only costs a couple bucks

Get the aluminum ones they will last a bit longer
