You guys are over thinking this IMO. A wideband is a reference. It gets you into the ballpark quickly, and can quickly identify issues if they come up.
Use the shittiest consistant sensor in the world to get your afr in the ballpark and then tune by mph on the drag strip. If my motor runs best at 20:1 afr on the strip, so be it. (Exaggeration of course). Dont get caught up in sensors that "must run 12.xx afr). Many racers tune cery fast cars without a sensor. Im sure us internet racers would tell them their tune is wrong if we put a wideband on it.
