Whipple is installed!
#1
I got a whipple last month. (Used kit, but the price was right)
Dyno yesterday was 352/352 in 103 degree heat. We had to be conservative on the tune as far as timming because of the heat soak as well as the ambient temp being 103. (Whipple is non intercooled)
Max boost was 6-7# on a 4 1/4 pulley.
I was pretty happy for the little 4.8 that could.
What kind of power have others made with a whipple? How much more could I push out of this setup?
(Planning on waiting until winter and going with a smaller pulley once heat is no longer such a big issue)
Add mods already installed:
GT2-3 Cam
F-body Mac Headers
True Duals

Have fun. Youre gonna have to call directly one of the CAI places to get one, or call whipple directly. CAI intakes are out there theyre just not heavily advertised. From what I hear your gonna desperately need a meth kit to cool the inlet air.
