Well...I just shredded my belt leaving my apartment a few mins ago....so I need to find out what size belt will work best with my setup....

Read all posts and make sure you get the right one. I make no promises on my chart being correct but it is a compilation of what other people told me they were using along with what I have used in the past....Good luck.

 

I recently installed a 1110 belt on my 2.8" Radix pulley and I'm also running the two 100mm idler pulleys from Metco. So far no problems that I can definitely blame on the belt but I have an issue with the battery light coming on when I wind it up to 5k rpm or so and I'm wondering if it's belt slip??

I have the Aerospace Interceptor scan guage and last night I was trying to watch the reading for "Battery" as I wound it up. I got the red battery light in the message center when I hit about 4500 rpm and tried to look at the scan guage to see what it was reading. It reads about 12.5 most of the time and that's what it was reading when the red light came on.

I'm not sure if that scan guage is reading alt output. Does anybody know? An if it is what should the alt be putting out? Seems to me that 12.5 or so is a little low. With the fans and headlights on it was more like 12.3 or 12.4.

 

12.5 volts may be battery voltage but the system voltage should be over 14 volts when the engine is running.
