Default What did you do and why

Am wondering who plums to exhaust
And who dumps to atmosphere, or more
Importantly why and reasoning behind
It. If you would please pontificate ..

Thanx C

Both my gates go to atmosphere, only reason was because of simplicity and I don't mind the noise.

Probably more of personal preference but if I were to go turbo, I would vent to the exhaust.

Why?

It's quieter and offers a certain level of sneakiness.

Sneakiness with a pd blower in 4wd...priceless!

Mine was vented but I will probably go to exhaust next time for above reason.

my pickup with two gates isnt bad at all.
evo dumps below center of car, pickup dumps in each wheelwell directly behind the spindles

Done it both ways. To atmosphere works the best and is easiest to plumb. I had my controller keep the gates closed until 15psi anyway, and at that point there's enough other noise where the gates aren't obvious.

We build most kits plumbed back in. It's much much quieter. Let's you hear the turbo and the engine better.
Shop truck is open and just not a fan of all that noise.

Yeah I can see where it would be cool
In the beginning but I think on day 2
Or 3 I wouldn't feel the same..

Since I have a Trick kit, mine dumps to the exhaust. I've never ridden in a truck that dumps to atmosphere but Trick is the only kit that I know of that vents to downpipe. My whole theme was stealth so it suits me. But then again, no one is flying under the radar at wot anyways...these things make noise at full boogy!
