Default VIC Single plane VS PRO FLOW WITH BOOST!!

Lots of Cry babys wine about the Pro Flow XT .. I am not talking about a N/A or small cube combo... My truck starts life about 4000rpms and I shift at 6400... but i am going to try and turn that up a little... My truck makes 1000ish rwhp as it stands with Vic Jr... But i want to make a change.. 400+..6800+...18+psi...

Hey Casey,

You won't gain much (if anything) over the Vic Jr. with the PFXT. It was my plan when the mani was first introduced, but now I'm leaning towards a big FAST 102...

Thanks for the reply... I have had two nasty backfires so now installed burst pannels intake elbow.. idk how well that fast would have held up... and i dont know want a 1000.00 chunk of desk art... IDK whats next... maybe a big waste of time.. but my truck needs to look cleaner....

Just to clarify, your talking about ditching the Victor Jr. right? Your question is whether you should get the Victor intake or the Proflow intake right?

If I'm understanding you, I'd probably try the big Victor intake for a couple of reasons. 1. Less money (I think) and easier install. Most everything you have now (rails, elbow, plumbing) will swap right over. 2. The fact that you plan on forcing a few atmosheres worth of air through there. I'm guessing with boost, you wouldn't see much of a power difference between the two below 4000 rpm.

Also, you could buy the Victor intake, dyno it, borrow Brock's proflow, dyno it and see if you made a good decision.

Casey, I've got a custom adapter plate that will let you ditch the elbow for more high end power if that's all you are after. It will bolt a 90mm directly to a carb manifold (I used it with my Vic Jr). It was professionally designed and CNC'd (by Richard at WCCH) and was designed to provide a smooth flowing transition between the TB and the manifold.

Are you running some squeeze too (to produce the manifold backfires)?

send me a pic of that adapter... or post it... BUT.. My TB does not face forward.. its like a ford motor... As far as the backfire... very agressive tune ups.. leave the line at 10+psi with a cold engine... an after thought when the truck would pull the wheels it would bottom out and rattle the battery cut off switch... Thanks for the Info Eric and travis .. IDK if i stand to gain 10hp swaping intakes just seems everyone has the Jr's now... so just seems like very few choices... I am not looking to move the power band up to 8500 rpms.. The VIC jr has been fine....

I believe the FAST setup is available with burst panels.

I'm planning on a FAST 102/102 setup on my current build... Oh wait, this is the f/i section. I dont know if I'm welcome around these parts anymore

Thats what i have been looking so hard at the Pro flow XT... because i did one for a buddy it looks like it rolled off the showroom floor that way .My pics do it no justice.. My street tune almost put the truck in the 12s n/a !! full weight ex cab 2wd ls6 and blower cam
