Default Loss of fuel pressure

I've had my maggie on for about two thousand miles now, I had problems over the past of loosing fuel pressure, but as of today i lost all fuel pressre while driving down the road. I have had steady fuel pressure of 58 psi normal driving and 61 at wot. there has been no real signs of the fuel pump going weak. I would let it sit for awhile then it will fire right up with out issue. As of this last time i got a engine light and have not got it check, being im at work. I thought that maybe it was an security issue, but not so much anymore. I have opened the gas cap and got a heavy fuel smell, let is sit open for a minute replaced the cap and had it fire up, which leads me to belive it is something tank or pump or even ecm related. Im at a mental block of where to start and stuck at work. thanks everyone.
