Default DBW90mm/Carb Adapter

I thought I'd try this idea to help guys swapping to carb style intakes. It puts the throttle body closer to the valves and does away with the plenum volume of an elbow. It'll require fabing up some intake ducting to get cold air or piping from a blower or turbo intercooler. The current design uses a square hole gasket to seal the bottom to the manifold, but I may change that to an "O" ring seal in the future. I'd like to set it up on an intake, but Edelbrock won't have any for another month

Nice machining Richard, how thick, 1". Oring on the bottom would be nice but Gaskets are always available.

Looks real nice as always Richard. So many options now, I don't know what to do.

Any idea on pricing yet?

Looks nice... I really like the o-ring seal, too. I had to hand cut a gasket for my TB because I bought my elbow before the machined option was available from Aaron

what do you expect the benefit to be from having less volume in the intake? Better (faster) throttle response? I didn't measure the volume on mine... but it has been said elsewhere on the forums that the following intakes have these plenum volumes:

LS1 5.06 L
LS6 5.19 L
Truck 4.00L
Edelbrock Vic Jr ?????

What do you think?

On my install, I haven't noted any softer pedal feel... but I have what is probably a fairly soft combo anyway... 402, AFR225's, 3000 stall yank, HEAVY *** truck, turbo cam, etc. I know that elbow adds a lot of plenum volume!

Will it allow a 90MM aftermarket TB to bolt to it?

Would this combo benefit a N/A application? If a custom CAI could be fabbed would it be comparable to a FAST 90/90 set-up?
