Upping the boost????
#1
I have been running 7 for a while now...... I have a stock 6.0 with ls6 springs and z06 cam. The truck runs good with a best of 12.51 in great weather, but i am thinking of upping it to play on the street.......
How many of you run 10psi on stock internals and what is your experience on doing this? I know most of you will say do it, but I want to be semi safe cause i DD this truck and don't wanna pop the motor!

lol. Better think about traction
My one ride in a turbo truck we started at 10lbs and I wasn't impressed but a simple push of a button and he was at 14psi and scaring the crap out of me.

You just have more self control than most of us, Bill. I have to go WOT at least once when I drive somewhere. Gotta make sure nobody stole my turbo
On a more serious note, I think your 6.0 will do just fine at 10psi. As long as you make adjustments to the tune as necessary.

How are your current IATs vs ambient temp? If they're still pretty low, you could probably get away with no meth. But if you're already seeing a big deviation in temperature, even intercooled, upping boost is just going to make the charge hotter and make you have to pull some timing to compensate.
