right now timming is low, and iats are 10-12 above ambient on a hot day, I was in the 98deg weather just idleing in traffic and see about 108 ish...... Much better now with the msd iat sensor though! I am anxious to get it on the dyno this winter and see what it makes and how much it has left in it!

I daily drove 10psi on a 5.3. Very fun and worth it. FWIW, I do my own tuning and didn't melt anything....

Yeah you should be fine then. Thats not bad at all. Granted, for any IAT meth will help, but its not absolutely necessary in your case if all you are looking for is to up the boost.

^^^11.5 i bet that is fun....... I am just wanting a little more out of it, I really don't want to get into the motor nor am I looking to add any other performance parts here soon. This is the main reason I went turbo and decided during my build to get more than what i needed so i could bump it up when it came time. I will prolly end up doing meth when it warms back up next year but its starting to get cool now and i am taking the truck to get tuned in november, I want to get it all situated before i leave!

Do you have an electronic boost controller? If you don't get one, then you can drive it at 7#, and at the push of a button you can go to what ever you want.

Mine is set up so if the controller is off it's on the spring, 8.6#, turn it on low, 11.5#, turn it on high, 15#. It just depends on how fast I think the car next to me is.

greddy profec-b spec II, it works great, and I found it pretty cheap compared to some others with the same options.
