Just finished swapping my 5.3 for a freshly rebuilt bored and camed lq4 in my excab silverado and I was thinking about buying a universal turbo kit off of eBay it's a full t4 kit and I was going to use a trick performance turbo header

 

I would just go ahead and get a good turbo from Trick..
T4 only means thats the bolt pattern of the turbo exhaust inlet Lots of other numbers out there that acutally mean somthing.

 

Is it worth the extra 2k

 

What universal kit are you talking about? My gut says that it won't bolt up to the Trick manifold.

 

It's a silverado universal kit it says it will fix any t4 manifold and does anyone know if it would be easier to build my 4l60e or swap to a 4l80e my 4l60 has about 20k on the rebuild

 

Do the swap. U wont regret it.

 

Sounds like there's a lot of parts missing from that kit.
Or there's a good amount of fab work that would have to be done.
