Just weld the end of it so the shaft gets welded to the pulley. If you are still running a clutch fan there could be issues with the big nut seating all the way. not sure.

Yep, still running the clutch fan.

A good small bead should still work fine. Just dont build it up allot.

In the few instances I've heard about the 8 rib belt gets behind the water pump pulley and walks it off like a shoe horn. I don't recall which tensioner these guys had on at the time though. The original HD tensioner pulley does not have shoulders on it, and if the belt jumps a rib or 2 back, can pull the belt towards the block on the water pump pulley.

Who is selling 8 rib setups? I know Joe@Leftcoast and IW sells the balancer. Does IW sell an entire kit? Does anyone else offer a complete 8 rib setup?

Left Coast'32 has the complete kits available, including the shouldered tensioner pulley.
