Default TVS 8-rib question

For you guys running TVS 8-rib pulley setups, is the factory water pump pulley wide enough, and if so, is it positioned the proper distance from the block? If none of the above, what are you using?

Yes indeed. Works perfectly fine with my IW kit. Just be sure to weld the pulley.

What's the deal about welding the pulley? I've read about a couple other people doing that too...does the pulley work itself loose under boost?

The pulley is only pressed on and a supercharger can put a lot of load on it. Since it's off set so much the load will push it off if it's not welded.

Ah okay that makes sense. Is this something that really only becomes an issue at like 10+psi, or would it also be a good idea at low boost as well?

And are a few tack welds at like 12,3,6 and 9 sufficient or do you really want to go nuts on the welding?

I would like to know the answer to this question too as I will be doing an 8-rib swap soon.
