Sure it's smoke and not steam? Pushing water/antifreeze through a HG would cause sputtering along with steam. The HG is a "fuse" for a bad tune or bad gas. If its blue smoke, you may want to do a leak down test and see if you have piston giving up.

Could be a number of things... But I can tell you from experience it's not good. I would find the problem as quick as you can and fix it right away before it gets worse. how is your pcv setup? How many miles on your turbo? Oil level and oil pressure at wot and idle? How do the plugs look? Do you have a wideband and if so what was it readin when it started to mess up? Is the blow by excessive and is it coming out steady or in puffs?

It's deffeneitly oil smoke I can smell it and it's constent flow of smoke(like the pesticide trucks bad) I let the truck idle for a little bit and idle cleared up the but the cloud of smoke around the truck was pretty bad And the Pcv setup is just vented I got a vented oil cap and thats where the oil blew out of last night turn the truck off cleaned up the mess and it fired right back up no problem

Sorry guys it's blue smoke looked white lastnight I plugged off the oil feel line let it idle and nothing changed still smoked up a storm I'll do a leak down test tonight since I still feel a missfire what possibilities am I looking at valve seal, piston rings? Motor only has about 3000 since rebuild and I'm only boosting 5lbs and my tuner even left it a little rich to give me more room for boost so I though I was pretty safe

Is your drivers side valve cover still connected to the intake from the pcv? What about the passenger side where it connects to the throttle body? If your blowing oil out of the breather cap, makes me think your boosting the crankcase somehow. If not, you probably hurt it pretty severely somehow...

the pcv setup i was running was driver side pcv vented to atmosphere and intake plugged the passenger side was left untouched and i customized a elbrock vented oil cap( that i bought at autozone) instead of the stock one

compression test was done and 180 accross the board expect cylinder 7 that has no compression and i do mean no compression the needle didnt even flinch took the valve cover off to check for broken springs, and springs check out ok so the only things it could be is piston rings or a hole on the piston right

Yea, thats not good. #7 is the cylinder that goes down on these. I'd start looking for an engine

I'm going try and salvage the motor since it only has 3000 since rebuild unless the walls of cylinder 7 is damaged. What could have been the causes of a hole in the piston
