tune affect boost?
#21
I bypassed the intercooler and plumbed it straight from the blower to the intake and got 5lbs instantly. Had to play with the gas as WOT it drops on its face and got 7lbs or so. Changed to a tune that I had copied a while ago with similar mods and I got WOT. I seen almost 8 but then it started to bleed down to 5 while still pulling. Played a few more times then I blew the hose off the throttle body.(gear clamp) I'm going to have to find a t-bolt big enough to go around the intake as the one I normally have on there is too small for the plastic and rubber tube. I guess before when I seen the high boost #'s, it was before I got the intrcooler.

any intercooler will "add" boost pressure, or should I say removing an intercooler will "increase" psi. Boost psi is a measure of restriction, apparently your intercooler is "that" restrictive. Just because your psi increased, doesn't mean that you picked up power though. I suggest you do some reading on this site, and google, to educate yourself before something is screwed up beyond repair. It sounds to me like your belt, or lower pulley, is slipping. Remove your lower pulley, and I bet you have been spinning it.
