I have the logs but too retarded to post them. IATs started at 100* ended at 118* Running Alky kit on boost reference(need to switch to MAF). 100%meth and 10/5 nozzles for a total of 15.

So that means you don't want a 2.9?

You know I do... I want anything that will step my game up. I'm in a far different position than he is if I move away from the 1900.

Just bought the truck 3 weeks ago. With recovering from cancer since April just really getting back in the saddle so it will likely be Summertime. Glad to be here at all lol. Hope its not later than Summer just depends on what I can produce. No question I do love the TVS as well. If there was a 2300 kit it would be a close call for sure.

True. However these newer model 5.3s it appears move a lot more air than the LS's so since it is offered why not? Besides, it gives me room to grow a little more without the expense of an 8 rib. Also what if I kill this motor like I did my last 2 (tuners). I would be going 6.2 as the replacement. Just thinking ahead. In no way am I degrading the TVS guys, just like the Whipple a bit better. It's also interesting Chevrolet used them on the COPO Camaros so...

Your 5.3 won't need a large compressor with its high compression.

As supplied the 1900 puts out 6 psi and 105 hp increase over stock to the Whips 7.5-8 psi and 155 hp over stock with no pulley changes if you can believe the manufacturers dyno #'s. It appears to be a jackshaft design as well. Also when New Era did their 2012 Whipple 2.3 build he pointed out that the Whipple had an IAT advantage over other brands. So for the same money which would you choose looking down the road? I realize the 5.3 doesn't "need" a bigger slower turning compressor but it gives me more options doesn't it? I value your opinion and other blower guys here, since all I've ever had is an STS or Nitrous. Thought I might do something different this time although I still have the STS if the money tree doesn't bloom. Thanks!

Very nice IAT's. Do you have any runs with the same setup sans meth to make an apples to apples IAT comparison? Any other cooling mods such as larger heat exchanger, pump, etc?

Do you mean do I have any runs with same mods and without meth?

I did do some cooling changes that did help out. But even before the meth and the mods IATs didn't get above 140s. But outside temps were hotter back then also.
