Default Those with manual boost controllers

Just want to see what everyone is running for a boost controller and what they have found best way to route it

I just picked up the RPS manual
MANUAL BOOST CONTROLLER 867533-JOD

They suggested putting T into my current line from compressor to side port of my tial, then running a line from BC to top port

I've never ran one this way but i can see how it could work, keeping pressure on the top, obviously i would need to go backwards of how ive normally ran them, tighter would be less boost and all the way out would be more boost ( i think im correct)

So my Tial 44mm has 2 top ports and 3 side ports. Would i want to cap the 2nd top port and 2 of the bottoms? Right now the 2 top are open and 2 sides are capped with 1 going to my compressor housing for vac

Thanks in advance

I dont feel like that would help much. Allowing constant air to the bottom of the gate would cause the gate to slowly open on spool up then, the top would be hit on peak psi. this would hurt spool A MBC helps with spool by keeping the gate closed as long as possible, also sometimes leading to spikes. I just have mine on the bottom of the gate.

gate wont open early i dont think as the springs keep that pressure. Right now my line just goes from turbo to side port of WG and it doesnt open till full boost. How i posted is what RPS told me on how to set it up

Ive always just had a MBC go between the compressor and side port of wg, turning **** in= more boost as you are blocking off air to the WG

Turbosmart | TS-0101-1001 | GBCV Boost-Tee Blue

this is the one I have,

goes in between the turbo and bottom port on the WG. it bleeds off pressure from the turbo

works very well and holds steady pressure. spikes just a little on shifts

mine spikes a little on shifts now with just spring pressure. That is how im used to hooking them up where blocking pressure off to the wg would raise boost

I was kinda confused when they told me to hook it up like this, didnt know if it was a better way to control it or what. Im all for trying something different but dont wanna hurt anything

Im running the Turbosmart boost tee like mentioned above. I put mine between my vacuum block and wastegate. I was running a combination for 4.5lbs, 6 clicks on the mbc, and im at 9.5lbs.

got the rps one on and im not to impressed. Boost isnt really consistant and 1/2 a adjustment would go from like 12-15lbs

right now it goes to about 10-11 top of 1st gear, once in second its staying around 12.

Doenst make sense as its a 13lb spring
